Sneakersnstuff – Global Retailer of Rare Sneakers

Since the Swedish sneaker Company Sneakersnstuff opened its first store in Stockholm in 1999, it has enjoyed great success. Already within the first year, the company launched its webshop Sneakersnstuff.com. In the following years, they opened stores in Berlin, London, and Paris, and in December 2017 they opened their first US store in New York. Sneakersnstuff is especially known to lead rare styles of sneakers, which usually are difficult to get a hold of. They collaborate with some of the world’s biggest sports brands, such as Reebok, Converse, PUMA, New Balance, and Adidas.

The Situation

In 2016, it became clear to Sneakersnstuff that they needed a new system that, to a greater extent than the present, could help them organize their warehouse and stores. As the business volume grew and the warehouse processes became more complex, the current warehouse processes had become too ineffective. In February of 2017, they implemented NAV in corporation with their ERP partner CGI, and at the same time, the Mobile WMS scanner solution from Tasklet Factory was added.

“The system we had, before implementing NAV 2016 and the Mobile WMS solution from Tasklet Factory, was old school and we wanted something more modern. We knew we needed a solution that could help us to become more organized and reduce the number of errors in both receiving and picking, and thus also in inventory.”

“We wanted an easier way to receive all of our incoming orders and pick the increasing amount of web orders. We needed a faster way to move the goods around the warehouse, adjust the quantity of an item, and to locate an item in the warehouse. Finally, we had a great need for a more effective way of creating new barcodes and changing the old ones, as we are highly dependent on barcodes. With the scanning solution from Tasklet Factory, we are now able to do all this regardless of where you are in the warehouse and without having to go back and forth to the computer all the time.”

Some of the biggest benefits we have experienced from implementing the Mobile WMS solution are that the same employees can carry out much more work in less time, and it has saved us money for staff costs. We have experienced a significant error reduction in all areas, including receiving and picking, and this has resulted in us now having a warehouse where both quantity and bin location of the individual items are correct.

Scanners are used in stores around the world

“In our stores around the world, the scanners are used for receiving and for keeping track of the internal store stock room. It is easy for the staff to find items by using “Locate Item”, and to reorganize the stock room by using Unplanned Move and Bulk Move. All in all, the whole system is more airtight, and it is harder to lose items and easier to keep track,” says Martin Gustafsson.

Sneakersnstuff sends thousands of packages to happy and expectant customers all over the world every week. Martin Gustafsson Fulfilment Manager at Sneakers and stuff:

“At Sneakersnstuff we pick up to 100 orders at a time. The majority of our orders are single-line orders, but even if there are 2 order lines or more, we always pick at least 50 orders at a time. “

“When we are experiencing very busy periods such as Black Friday, we usually hire between 20 – 25 new temporary employees. Already within just a few hours, the new employees are working efficiently and independently, so, the Mobile WMS solution has shown to be really user-friendly.”
