Register and control received items. Supports lot-/serial numbers and expiry dates.
When your items have been received and registered in your warehouse, they must then be moved to a warehouse bin. With a Mobile WMS warehouse scanning solution, you can receive and put-away items in either one or two steps. Mobile WMS supports warehouses with assigned bins but also setups with “chaotic storage”.
With help from the mobile computer, you are guided to the most favorable Put-Away route. This will save you man-hours and, therefore also, labor costs.
It is possible to configure this functionality in a variety of ways, from basic inventory management to advanced WMS management.
If your items are registered with a fixed bin, you are simply guided to this bin, and you can then put-away the item.
Vice versa, if your items are not assigned to a fixed location, you can automatically be informed of a recommended location. If relevant, you are able to overwrite the recommended bin and instead place the item on a bin that makes the most sense to you.
It is also possible to use distributed placements. For instance, if you would like to place part of the received items in your picking zone and the remaining part in your buffer stock.
For situations where you and other colleagues are working with this feature simultaneously, we have made sure that you, per default, cannot select the same order twice. We have, however, also built in the flexibility for the warehouse employee to use the shortcut menu to open the put-away order and share it between more than one person.
This process can be split up. This could, for instance, be relevant in situations where an item in high demand must be urgently registered. The big win here is that your production, or your sales team, can quickly dispatch the items they need.
