To accommodate its need for tracking many small components in different colors, Malte Haaning Plastic implemented the Tasklet Mobile WMS solution. Using Mobile WMS and mobile computers for scanning barcodes on every item, Malte Haaning Plastic can now keep track of the data necessary to have control of the warehouse processes.

When Malte Haaning Plastic chose their new WMS solution, they needed it to be user-friendly because their production workers had little experience working with IT. The company wanted an application for the handheld scanner that could present the necessary information in a relevant way that was easy to understand—so it could assist workers with their work processes.
Tasklet Mobile WMS was configured to match the routines of the production workers, resulting in a positive reception from the production workers. Birgitte Gregersen elaborates:

“The application has been well received by the production workers, as it is made to fit the procedures they already followed, and now the handheld scanners help them in their daily routines.”

In addition to managing data, the production of Malte Haaning Plastic has experienced a step up in quality and consistency. While scanning everything with Tasklet Mobile WMS during production requires extra steps in work processes, this extra work is compensated in other important areas.

The new WMS solution has made it easier for production workers to complete their tasks. They now have easy access to information in Dynamics NAV, which saves them from having to walk back and forth between stationary PCs and printers in the production facility.

There have been no problems with the system, and fears of a slow and tedious system have been eliminated. Birgitte Gregersen explains:

“Posting and reporting of finished production runs work perfectly and are executed immediately.”
