HIT Trading's warehouse handles more than 5,000 items each day. The company upgraded its way of managing its warehouse operations by digitizing its warehouse. This investment has resulted in increased efficiency, elimination of errors, and more satisfied customers.
To improve its warehouse processes, HIT Trading has completely digitalized its warehouse. Along with updating its ERP system, the wholesaler wanted a scanner solution for its warehouse that could accommodate some of the challenges previously experienced. One of the major challenges was many errors in the picking process, costing both time and money.
In collaboration with Dutch ERP Partner, Xperit, HIT Trading chose to implement Mobile WMS from Tasklet to manage their warehouse operations. The solution has helped HIT Trading to eliminate most error sources in the warehouse and by this reducing the error rate.
Harm Plasmans, Warehouse Manager at HIT Trading highlights some of the benefits:
“The Mobile WMS solution from Tasklet enables us to pick the orders in the right way, with fever or no mistakes at all.”
The solution from Tasklet Factory enables us to pick the orders in the right way, with fever or no mistakes at all. Our challenges with Wi-Fi were one of the reasons we went with Tasklet Factory, as Mobile WMS allows us to work offline.
Previously HIT Trading has experienced insufficient Wi-Fi coverage in the warehouse, causing wasted time and challenges with picking orders. With the implementation of Tasklet Mobile WMS, the company has removed this challenge, as the solution offers both online and offline functionality, making it suitable for any warehouse.
Harm Plasmans emphasizes that the use of Tasklet Mobile WMS also has had a positive influence on the warehouse employees:
“Our challenges with Wi-Fi were one of the reasons we went with Tasklet, as Mobile WMS allows us to work offline. If things work well, I see a greater willingness from the employees, as they are the ones who need to work with the scanners.”
The reduction in picking errors has ensured that the shipments going out of the warehouse contain the correct items, which benefits customers by ensuring that they receive what they ordered. This has increased customer satisfaction.
Harm Plasmans elaborates:
“The errors are fewer and the situation where customers call and complain because they received the wrong delivery belongs to the past. We now have higher customer satisfaction, and it has made HIT Trading more efficient.”
After implementing Tasklet Mobile WMS, HIT Trading has experienced more efficient warehouse processes. The increase in efficiency has freed up a lot of time in the warehouse so that employees can now focus on the important work of fulfilling customer orders quickly.
Harm Plasmans confirms:
“The biggest advantage is that it has freed a lot of work hours to get more work done with the same number of employees.”
