But managing inventory was proving to be a challenge. With an outdated system and manual tracking methods that relied heavily on Excel spreadsheets, the warehouse operations were struggling to keep up with the company’s growth.
“We couldn’t locate our goods. Everything was tracked in spreadsheets, and it was nearly impossible to manage,” explains Daniel Bækgaard Olsson, Logistics Manager at EC Power. It was clear that EC Power needed a new approach—one that would streamline their warehouse operations and reduce errors.

Before implementing Tasklet, EC Power was using NAV2007 without a location management system, which forced them to rely on spreadsheets for inventory tracking, creating inefficiencies and increasing the risk of errors. As the company expanded, the limitations of this setup became more apparent.
“We knew we needed a solution that could keep pace with our growth and improve over level of accuracy,” Daniel says. This realization led to their decision to upgrade to BC14 and introduce Tasklet to simplify their warehouse processes.
Rather than rushing into a full deployment, EC Power took a considerate approach. They spent six months in a development environment, testing the system, making adjustments to align it with their needs: “It was a great investment to take our time and do it right,” Daniel shares.
A major factor in this successful rollout was having a superuser actively involved in the development process. This ensured that Tasklet was customized effectively and tailored to their operational requirements, which also meant that it was easy to get employees on-board with the new system:
“Everyone on the team, from younger employees to those with more experience, adapted quickly. It was user-friendly, and our own IT department was able to fully support the transition,” Daniel shares.
The improvements following the implementation of Tasklet were measurable and impactful. One of the most significant changes was a significant decline in production errors: “We reduced production errors from 112 in 2019 to just 16 in 2024 after implementing Tasklet. That is an 85% reduction which is a huge improvement and shows how impactful the system has been for us,” Daniel notes.
Tasklet’s features, including unplanned counting, brought a new level of efficiency to EC Power’s operations. When employees find empty boxes or pallets, they quickly scan and check their status and update the system: “Everything gets updated in real time, with both date and time, ensuring our system is always accurate and up-to-date,” Daniel explains.
Additionally, EC Power chose to add custom alert fields as an extra layer of quality control, which helps the team maintain high standards in their inventory management along with images instead of just text: “We added images to the scanner interface, so employees could see what they were looking for which helps them identify items faster,” Daniel says.
This change of warehouse management setup also provided unexpected benefits when it came to training employees. With the integration of SOTI MobiControl, EC Power was able to have their own team training sessions, without the need for one-on-one instruction and training: “With SOTI, trainers can show exactly what’s happening on the scanner on a screen during the different processes, making it easier for employees to get to know the system,” Daniel explains.
This has streamlined the onboarding process, making it easier to train employees when Tasklet was first implemented and continue to support new team members as they join, helping them become familiar with the system quickly: “Tasklet has transformed how we operate – from reducing errors to simplifying training and onboarding. It’s a crucial part of our business,” Daniel concludes.
