However, they quickly discovered a significant roadblock: their existing Warehouse Management System was no longer a fit for their company and did not work well with Business Central.
The previous system had become overly complex, expensive to maintain, and difficult for employees to navigate: "We realized too late that our warehouse setup wasn’t right. The old WMS was not made for BC and the many new procedures adapted and didn’t meet our needs. We needed something built for BC, modern, flexible, and easy to use for our warehouse staff," explains Kenneth Aabenhus, Warehouse Manager at Fairpoint Outdoors.

This was needed to reduce complexity and improve their overall efficiency: "Tasklet was a game-changer for us. The solution is also being prepared for further efficiency improvements in Fairpoint Outdoors’ packing and shipping operations. Employees can soon complete the entire process directly on their scanners—generating documents, labels, and packing slips: “No more waiting or standing in line at computers to finish tasks. Everything will be handled directly at the packing stations with the scanners,” Kenneth adds.

The new system has also streamlined onboarding for new employees: "Because of Tasklet’s user-friendliness we can now train new staff in under two hours, and they’re ready to work. This is critical during peak seasons when we rely on temporary workers," Kenneth explains.
Fairpoint Outdoors has seen a dramatic drop in shipping errors after implementing the solution: "Reaching 99% accuracy in shipment, especially in a process involving people, is incredible. Scanning items using Tasklet has made a tremendous difference for our business," Kenneth notes.
